Pottery Courses in Stuttgart
I teach pottery courses for wheel throwing and handbuilding in my pottery studio in Stuttgart. I offer weekend and evening classes as well as intensive 3 – 6 day courses.
In my courses I teach you the basics of throwing on the potter’s wheel, including clay wedging, centering and forming your first small pots as well as decoration with engobes, glazing and firing techniques.
The courses take place in small groups with a maximum of 2 participants. Each participant has an individual potter’s wheel for practice. The atmosphere is both relaxed and concentrated, with each participant being encouraged to find their own rhythm for creating on the wheel.
The courses are designed for beginners whilst also being suitable for those with prior experience of ceramics, who would like to restart or deepen their skills.

Wheelthrowing and Decoration with Engobes
- 12 – 25 hours lessons
- individual potter’s wheel for practice
- small group (max. 2 participants)
- suitable for beginners and intermediate potters
- course content will be adapted to the individual skills and interests of eachparticipant. It is also possible to focus only on wheelthrowing techniques or to concentrate on the decoration of ceramics.
- ideal preparation to work independently in your own studio or in a
